Are you a social sciences student unsure about your career options? Interested in what your future working life might look like? At the Social Sciences Career Fair, VTM Fair, you’ll find out!

The VTM Fair is a career event designed primarily for social sciences students, where graduates from the field share insights about career opportunities and their own career paths. The goal of the event is to bring together students from the social sciences and employers from various sectors, including administration, communications, research, economics, NGOs, consulting, and public affairs. In addition to a program of talks, the fair will also feature exhibitors from different organizations who can provide tips on, for example, job seeking, as well as a workshop.

The next fair will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Think Corner and the University of Helsinki Main Building.

For Companies

We are still accepting registrations for the fair. The event offers you an excellent opportunity to reach motivated students, present job, internship, and thesis opportunities, and strengthen your employer image.
The participation fee is €300, which includes:

• An exhibition stand at the event from 15:00 to 18:00 (University of Helsinki Main Building)

• A table and chairs

• Visibility in the event’s marketing

• Free entry to the official afterparty (location to be announced later)

We are also open to other forms of collaboration, such as organizing workshops or discussion sessions, or broader social media marketing. Compensation for these can be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

For Alumni

Are you an alumni who would be willing to volunteer your time to provide some career guidance to our students in a relaxed manner?

The university's alumni team is hosting a "pop-in stand" where students can freely come and go during the fair to ask alumni questions and get career advice.

Participation as an alumni is free of charge and includes free entry to the event’s official afterparty. You can choose if you would like to volunteer for the whole event or only a shorter amount of time.
